Etsy Dallas Spring Bash

This weekend was my first Etsy Dallas Show! I had a 6x8 booth, where I set up a table and all of my products. This was sort of a "test run" to see if this is something I would want to do more of in the future... and I had a BLAST doing it! I definitely will be doing more shows. :) Despite the nasty weather outside (not to mention the heat inside this building) it was a great turnout! I made quite a few sales and even more contacts for custom orders. While Bob left to go sell his bike (yes, he sold the motorcycle!!) my mom came down to sit with me and help me sell. All in all, I would say this was a success. Check out the pictures of my booth, set up, and BIG belly :)

32 Weeks and a Diaper Bag! :)

Some people have been asking for updated profile pics... so here goes. (I love how people enjoy seeing how BIG my belly is growing!!) HA! I guess this is the only time you really have an excuse for a belly, huh? I decided to model my new diaper bag to show it off! This was a present from Bob for our anniversary :) Isn't is so chic!?!! Thanks hubby!

3 Years + 31 weeks!

Happy Anniversary to us! :) We celebrated 3 years on May 6th, and Bob surprised me by taking the day off of work so we could go play! We try to take a trip every year to celebrate, but this year has been a little different with our baby girl on the way. After Bob took me shopping to try and find a diaper bag, we headed downtown to the DMA for lunch. We got to enjoy a great meal at 1717 Restaurant, including special food concoctions brought out by the Chef himself! :)

Next, we went to the Dallas Arboretum to walk the grounds and see the Storybook Playhouse exhibit that is showing. Here are some pics from the day.

I nearly busted my a$$ on this playhouse - tried to be funny and stand on the damp wood, and totally slipped. :) Heather got a good laugh out of it...

This wasn't a playhouse, but was one of my favorite sights! All the flowers were so pretty!

Maybe a "future" treehouse for Baby Bloem? HA! :)

Southern Belle Tea Party

Last weekend was my girly baby shower, and I just have to share some photos of how cute everything was!! The theme was "Southern Belle Tea Party" - hats required. :) The hostesses were our good friends and parent mentors (they've had a little bit of practice) Lisa and Laurie. I got some good girl time in while drinking mint tea (everyone else got to partake in Lisa's mint julips) and enjoying some great finger foods! A BIG thank you for hosting the shower Lisa, and for all that you did to make it special Laurie!!

Lisa and I with our hats! Isn't hers awesome!??

The dessert spread...mmmmmmmm.....

Mom and I with our hats! (and color-coordinated outfits...NOT PLANNED! ha!)

Susan came up from Houston to help me celebrate!

Comparing bellies with Adrienne. She and Joey are expecting their first girl just a few weeks before us!

Opening presents with my hat became a little bit much... it kept falling in my face, so I switched with Julie!

Baby CPR + Safety Class

Bob and I attended our first class on Saturday - Baby CPR, Safety and Care (regular maintenance required). We learned how to perform CPR on an infant, what to do if they're choking, how to swaddle and bathe our baby, and different things to do to "baby proof" our house (including keeping hazardous chemicals out of reach - really? People don't think of these things? I'm no expert, but I could have told you that bleach probably isn't the best thing to leave around... just sayin'). Don't you know we couldn't go through a whole class without Bob making a few jokes. Here are 2 pics he took along with his captions:

"Do babies come out like this? Swaddled and all??"

"We have an extra washcloth in the bucket... baby needs a do-rag! What up yo!"

I do want to add one more thing - each one of these baby dolls was anatomically correct, but we got the wrong model to practice with. Just remember, front to back, front to back, front to back... :)

Our first Shower!

So, this posting is a little late. Two weekends ago, we had our first baby shower and it was TONS of fun!! It was a couple's shower held at the Flying Saucer...yes, the Flying Saucer :) We had the back room all to ourselves and got to celebrate with all of our friends and family. The hostesses: Amy Adams, Carolyn Baltz, Catt Lynch, and Dyan Prescott sure know how to throw a good party!! A BIG thank you to the four of you girls for all your effort into giving us such a good party! The decorations, cake, games, everything were awesome! Here are a few pics of the hostesses and what everything looked like:

Dyan and Art Prescott - my second set of parents from high school :) Dyan was the other hostess!

Isn't this cupcake cake AWESOME!??!

Here are some more photos of the rest of the shower and "after party" at the house.

We got to see our little girl!!

We had another sonogram/checkup today and everything went great. We got some really cool pictures of our beautiful baby girl - everything looks to be in the right place, the right size, the right proportions, and like her mom and dad, is little :) She's in the 64% percentile in size (uh... like her parents), and is weighing in around 3 lbs. She's laying breech right now (sitting up, facing forward), but this is perfectly normal for the 28th week.

The sonogram tech loves us, so she spent extra time switching back and forth into 3D/4D and printing plenty of pictures. She was playing with her hands in front of her face most of the time... so cute! It is surreal to see her like this, and we can't wait to meet her. And as Bob kept saying the whole time "This is so stinkin cool!!!"
