This past weekend we went to go see the new deck park in downtown Dallas. Klyde Warren Park is built over Woodall Rodgers Freeway. It's been in the making for years now (I sat in on a few meetings and saw many plans back in the day at Carter & Burgess), and it turned out so cool! And of course with it being opening weekend, there were many things going on - foodie trucks lined up, yoga on the lawn, music and dance performances on the stage, etc. The weather was beautiful, and the kids LOVED the children's park! Bridgette keeps asking to go back! And I just love how even though we've moved out to the "burbs"... we're still close enough to drive in and enjoy some of the city life!

Unseen Footage
As I'm updating this blog, I realized I missed a bunch of photos from Aiden's birthday party weekend. The kids kept going upstairs to dress up, and the photos are hilarious! As you will see, there were many costume changes, lots of mixed outfits, and lots of laughs! And I realized we need more boy costumes. (sorry Aiden and Alex! I'm working on it) :) Enjoy!

Pumpkin Patch + Pony Rides
One of my new friends (and neighbors) and I took our kids to a local pumpkin patch the other day. We weren't sure what to expect, but it was down the street and we heard they had pony rides. The kids enjoyed the bounce house/slide the most I think. They were so cute waiting for the pony rides, but then Aiden got scared the minute they started walking. Bridgette rode 3 times... she kept wanting to switch horses after each ride - ha!

Fall at the Arboretum
And the tradition continues. Probably my favorite. I love the fall, I love pumpkins, and I just love the arboretum during this time! It's beautiful out there, and set up so nice for the kids to run through. It was a little chilly and cloudy the day we went, but we were able to get some great photos before the rain came. Thanks Mimi and Poppa for helping us with our "photo shoot" - ha!
like mother, like daughter...
like father, like son...
we couldn't get one posed, but we sure were laughing the whole time!
I couldn't get enough of these 2 in the pumpkins!
