Sibling Love

Some days you just need to play. Dress up. Tools. Picnic. Kitchen. Plane rides. Forts. Blocks. Baking. Outside play. Just play. And I'm so happy that our kiddos like to play together. It's been fun to watch how Bridgette and Aiden have become friends, protecting each other, caring for each other. Now they fight plenty, and know exactly which buttons to push... but when they are getting along - it just warms my heart! Here are a few of their favorite "play" times...

Aiden learns to BIKE!

We waited until Bridgette's 3rd birthday before she got a bike. But I guess with the 2nd one (and him being so close in age) things happen a little sooner. So at 2 1/2, Aiden gets his very own BIKE! I was teaching a calligraphy class one Saturday morning, so Bob had the kids to run errands, etc. They come back and Aiden walks in (very proudly) with a shiny new helmet! So we got them suited up, and out we went. He LOVED it! And Bridgette loved showing him what to do, racing with him down the street, and being big sis on the bike! You can just hear the giggles through the pictures... 

Boots & Bluebonnet

Being from Texas, it's almost customary to have pictures in bluebonnets every year. But this year was our FIRST set of pictures with the flowers! I was lucky enough to win a mini-session from a photographer through my MOPS group, and they turned out great! And we finally got a picture made with all of us in our cowboy boots! Yee-haw!

The Garden Starts...

This year we've decided to start a garden. (ok, well I decided and my lovely husband built it for me) ;) In years past, I've just done mainly herbs and a few veggies in pots. This year we're moving up: raised planter beds! It was pretty easy... and we had most of the materials for one box already. So here goes nothing... check back later this summer to see how we're doing!

Easter Weekend in Houston

Our Easter weekend in Houston is best said in pictures! Highlights: yoga with Marthi one early morning on the patio (complete with birds singing, wind blowing, ahh peaceful!), taking kids to their first churascaro experience, church with Sandra and her family, and the egg hunt in Vovo & Vovo's backyard!
