Park & Play

Before Bob's parents left from the birthday weekend, the kids got to show them one of their favorite playgrounds. And their favorite part was probably the short drive back home with Aiden driving, and Bridgette hanging out of the sun roof.

Happy Birthday Bridgette: Part 2

This year Bridgette got a bike for her birthday, so it was only necessary to have a BYOB party... Bring Your Own BIKE that is! ;) We had a small little party with some of her old playgroup friends, and she enjoyed seeing everyone. My "decorate your own bike" didn't go over so well, but the girls enjoyed dolls, dress up, and just being girls. We even got a special visit from Aunt Catt and Uncle Jeff!

The rest of the weekend Bridgette and Aiden enjoyed soaking up all they could from Vovo & Vovo! The boys grilled, we played at the park, and put together all the new girly toys! Thanks everyone!

Our lil' B turns 3!

Gosh it's been almost a month since Bridgette's birthday, but I still need to document the fun we had. Here's a little play-by-play in pictures of her actual day.

We started the day off with balloons, donuts, and books.

Then we met up with Mimi and Poppa at the barn playground...

Then we met Daddy for lunch at Fadi's (her choice!)

And walked around Knox Street for some ice cream

And instead of "quiet time", Poppa and Bridgette made crafts:

And then relaxed in her favorite chair...

Not a bad birthday on a Monday! :)

A boy and his Momma

I had one of the sweetest moments with Aiden the other night, and I need to post it before I forget it. (although, I don't think I'll forget moments like these with my kids!) We had put the kids to bed like we normally do, and while we were cleaning up downstairs I hear Aiden start crying really loud. It was a different tone so I ran up thinking he had fallen out of his crib or something. Nope... he was just standing up in his crib, crying, calling my name. I picked him up and hugged him tight... and then he returned the hug with an even better hug back to me. You know the type... both arms wrapped tightly around the neck. Anytime I tried putting him back down, he hugged tighter. I asked him "did you just need some love from your momma?" which he replied with the sweetest "yea". So I stood there swaying with him... the sweetest little rambunctious kid I know... having one of the sweetest moments. I. was. in. heaven! The kids seem to be growing up so fast that I really try to soak up every little moment I can like this. It was perfect! Here's a few pics of my sweet boy...
