(this is a little late)... but my brother got MARRIED! It's so funny to see a ring on Jared's hand. But he finally did it... he's married! And I am so happy for him and Jenn. She's a pretty amazing girl, she makes Jared grin bigger than I've ever seen, the kids LOVE her, and I get another sis-in-law (bonus!) :) Their wedding was at the Trinity River Audoban Center, and it was just beautiful. Here are a few pics from the festivities. Congrats Jared & Jenn - we love you!

B is for Ballet
Bridgette finally started dance last week, and I'm not sure who was more excited - me or her!? She's been asking to "go to ballet" for a while now, but we haven't found a school or time to go that would work until now. And we're taking with 2 other friends of ours as well... so us moms (and Aiden) get to chat and catch up during her class! She takes once a week for an hour with ballet, tap and tumbling. And then she'll have a recital in the spring! Here are a couple pics of our little tiny dancer last week...
Going to pick up some celebratory cupcakes for the first day of class ;)
our beautiful little girl!
Aiden and his Vovo
As I was downloading pictures off my camera last week, I came across these great pics. This was from when Bob's parents were in town for Bridgette's birthday. Aiden was playing with his Vovo while she made bubbles out of her hand. The look on his face is just plain adorable! We love you Vovo! Beijos!

Conversations from the Backseat
The kids vocabulary (especially Bridgette's) is constantly expanding, and always making us laugh. This morning we drove down to meet a friend for a playdate... and the conversation in the backseat was too funny not to share... it went something like this:
Aiden: "Wheeeeeeeeeee"
Bridgette: "No hon, you can't say wheeee." (and of course Aiden says it again) "Hey bud, you can't do that. You can't say wheeee because we aren't on a ramp. Do you understand me hon?"
Aiden: "Yea"
Bridgette: "No you don't because you are a little boy."
Aiden: "Yea"
Bridgette: "You don't know how to talk yet because you're little... but you are learning."
It went on and on... the "hon" phrase she's been saying lately is hysterical! So we go... we play... and on our way out of the parking garage, she continues...
Bridgette: "I don't feel good momma"
Me: "Why don't you feel good?"
Bridgette: "My finger hurts, so I don't feel good. I think I need to lay in ya'lls bed."
Me: "I think we'll lay in our own bed for nap today."
Bridgette: "I have one m&m left mom... you can have it if I stay in your bed"
Me: (laughing!??!!)"are you trying to make a deal with me with the m&m's I gave you?"
Where do they learn these things??? Oh yea... their parents. Now every time I say "hey bud or thanks hon"... I hear Bridgette's little voice mimicking me. haha!
Oh, and this was from last week:
Bridgette: "Mom, can we go to Vovo's house?"
Me: "Yes, soon but not this weekend... we already have plans."
Bridgette: "Well that's not fair Mom"
haha!
And since I can't post without a picture... here's one from yesterday... my silly gooses and me :)

Road Trip!
This past weekend we took a little road trip to Fayetteville, Arkansas to visit Carolyn {a.k.a. "C Balls" to the kids}, David and Lily. I was going up there to teach some girls calligraphy, so we made a whole trip out of it. We stayed in the lovely Carnall Hall that's right on campus, and enjoyed the nice cooler weather for a change. It was a great weekend of hanging out with good friends, walking around the cool college town, and good food. We even got a babysitter on our last night so the "adults" could go on a little date!

The year of the "3's"...
This past weekend we celebrated Bobby turning the big 33! (just a few weeks after B turned 3!) And the theme this year was bar-b-que! Bobs parents and I bought him a new grill - the kamado joe. {and she's a pretty little thing} If you want to know more about the grill itself, I'm sure Bob will be happy to give you all the details! He's become quite the grill nerd these days. Then, my parents bought him some different wood chunk flavors and a gift card to Central Market. So naturally, Bob had to celebrate with MEAT. Dinner consisted of Beer Braised Pork Shoulder and Grilled Steak Fries with Lemon Thyme Aioli. Not sure how I agreed to no veggies, but it was really dang good! (and it was his birthday, so I let it pass)
