We got to see our little girl!!

We had another sonogram/checkup today and everything went great. We got some really cool pictures of our beautiful baby girl - everything looks to be in the right place, the right size, the right proportions, and like her mom and dad, is little :) She's in the 64% percentile in size (uh... like her parents), and is weighing in around 3 lbs. She's laying breech right now (sitting up, facing forward), but this is perfectly normal for the 28th week.

The sonogram tech loves us, so she spent extra time switching back and forth into 3D/4D and printing plenty of pictures. She was playing with her hands in front of her face most of the time... so cute! It is surreal to see her like this, and we can't wait to meet her. And as Bob kept saying the whole time "This is so stinkin cool!!!"

Belly Pics

This weekend Bob and I went to Houston for Sandra's, his middle sister, baby shower. She is ahead of me by 3 weeks and we are having fun anticipating our first kids together! We had a great time hanging out with the family, seeing all the sisters, and just being silly. Here are some pics of what happens when all the sisters and I get in front of a camera... started out with a few nice poses and turned into a fashion show! Don't be fooled by Martha and Christina - there are only 2 of us preggers right now! ha! :) Love you girls!

First Day of Spring!

Last Friday marked the First Day of Spring, and what better way to celebrate than to work in the yard all weekend!? :) I got to spend all day Friday with my mom... picking out plants, going to different nurseries, and just enjoying the weather! We also found a bench (that I've been searching for) for the front yard. Bob and I spent ALL DAY (no really... 9 - 6:30) in the yard planting, moving plants, setting up pots, etc. I think this will be my last time to do this until after the baby is born. Little one inside would remind me she was there if I was doing too much. HA! Enjoy the pics! :)

We have BEDDING!

We finally have everything painted, the crown molding is up, and my parents got us all the bedding! It just came in last week, so we set it up this weekend and it looks AWESOME! It's starting to look like a real nursery in here! Thanks Mom & Dad!! :)

Happy St.Patty's Day!

Last night was the Annual Stein St.Patty's Day Party... where wearing green and costumes are encouraged! So, take a look at our last minute costumes. My shirt says "I got lucky this year!" ... and Bob's shirt read "I gave her me lucky charms!" :) Hey... we had to play into the whole preggo belly in some way, right? HA!

23 Weeks!

Yesterday marked our 23rd week, and there were lots of happenings in the Bloem household this weekend. We continued getting the nursery ready... We finally picked the color: 'ballerina'. Very appropriate! And yes, it's a pink (some of you know I was trying to avoid that color) but... it just fit with the bedding so well... I couldn't help myself! HA! So, while Bob painted the walls - I painted the dresser and crown molding.

Second, we FINALLY felt the baby move!! :) I have been dying to feel something! So, Saturday night when we went to bed I told Bob I was feeling some sort of bubble-flip thing in my tummy... but didn't know if I was making it up in my head. Then Sunday morning I felt it again, so Bob put his hand on my belly... it was silent for a while... then all of a sudden he was like "did you feel that?" :) I was like, "so it's not just me??" YAYYYYYY! She said hello!

And if that wasn't enough excitement... we decided to start demo on our master bathroom. Yes, you read that right. We've been talking about this project for a while and thought... I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant, we have a 4 month timeframe until our NEWBORN BABY comes into this world, not to mention all the baby and wedding showers we have on our calendar... why not make things interesting and add one more thing to our to do list!? he-he-heh (insert nervous laugh right here)
