My Papaw turned the big 8-5 in November, and we had a great little surprise party to celebrate! It's always so nice to see everyone, and act silly with the cousins. Happy Birthday Papaw... we love you!

Halloween Carnival 2011
Now that it's almost Thanksgiving... better update pictures from Halloween - ha! A couple weeks before Halloween, the kids were able to get dressed in their costumes {picked out by Bridgette this year} and attend the LHAECPTA carnival. There were lots of activities for the kiddos to do, including face painting, cookie decorating, balloon artist, and games. Well, at least we made it to one event with our costumes on! Bridgette came home from school on Halloween Monday with a stomach bug, so we weren't able to trick-or-treat. Oh well... these pictures were worth it!
Love this family picture!

Lost Pictures of Everyday Life
Too often I take one or two little snap shots, and they never make it to the blog, Facebook, or email to the family. But of course they're too cute not to share! And, when we look back at this blog years from now, I want to remember the everyday life moments too...
... like homemade popsicles...
... two peas in a pod...
... stroller walks to the post office, and looking for birdies through "binoculars" ...
definitely my girl...
A trip to Owens Farm
It's that time of year again, and we can't get enough of the fall festivities. This past week we went to Owens Farm for a playdate. We enjoyed a hayride, feeding the (crazy) goats, walking around to see animals, picking out pumpkins, and a picnic lunch. Aiden is definitely no fear when it comes to the animals!

Footloose and Fancy Free in Fayetteville
Two weekends ago, my mom and I took a little road trip up to Fayetteville, AR with the kiddos. Carolyn's mom drove in, and she kicked her hubby out (thanks David) so we could have a "girls weekend" (+ Aiden of course). It wasn't as relaxing as Carolyn and I had been dreaming it would be, but we did have a lot of fun amidst the chaos. Bridgette and Lily hit it off, and Aiden liked playing with new toys! After the kids finally went to bed in the evenings, Carolyn and I were able to enjoy some girl talk over a glass of wine. Oh how nice it is to sit and talk with an old friend! Highlight of the weekend was definitely taking the girls to a kiddie salon called Glitterbox, where they had mani/pedis! I don't know who enjoyed it more... me or Bridgette - ha! Thanks Carolyn for having us up for the weekend! And thanks Mimi & Gran for helping us with our crazy children!
Walking through the square on Saturday morning... the weather was perfect!!

Tuesdays at the Arboretum
I love how close we live to the arboretum! And I especially love the 'Tiny Tots Tuesdays' they do during the fall. Every Tuesday they have face painting {Bridgette's favorite}, a petting zoo {Aiden's favorite}, story time, and kindermuzik ... all free with admission/membership! That's on top of the already cool pumpkin patch and everything else they do to decorate during this season. So for the past few weeks, we've packed a picnic lunch, met our playgroup friends, and enjoyed the morning in some fresh air! The kids love it, get all tuckered out, and typically pass out before we even leave the parking lot. It's a win-win... they have fun and mommy gets a good nap from them! :) Here are the highlights over the past few weeks...

And of course, we can't leave without picking up a few pumpkins for our house!
