Bridgette's Spring Break!

Two weeks ago, Bob started a new project in Houston, so Bridgette and I went with him to visit friends, family, and get out of the house. (I know...I'm a little behind) It just so happened to be the week of Spring Break for most of Texas, so we're calling this post {Bridgette's Spring Break}! We got to spend lots of time with Vovo, Tia Sandra and Cousin Ava; Bridgette and I had a girls lunch with Aunt Catt; we went to visit Great Grandpa Papoo; and we met up with Mimi and Poppa for a day in Galveston. Busy week, but lots of fun!
Lots to see in Vovo's backyard.
Swinging at the park...

Oh, I know you!

We went from one swing to another...

After seeing Ava try to crawl out of her stroller... Bridgette thought - Good Idea! I think I'll try that too! :)

Hi again!

Ok, I have my hat on... let's get in some beachy clothes.

Ok, now I'm ready!

Oooh... this is a new texture...

... but I think I like it!

Hello down there!

Bridgette has something to say...

That's right... Bridgette is going to be a {Big Sister}!! The 2 will be 15 months apart... to the day. As of now, little bean (which is what we'll be saying until we know if we're having a him or her) is due October 2. We are now in the 2nd trimester, and my energy has come back! We have our next appointment this Thursday, and will then schedule our big sonogram (where we find out the sex) in the next 3-4 weeks! So excited!

We're in trouble...

At 8 months, Bridgette still isn't crawling, but she sure is becoming mobile. She rolls, scoots, inches, and loves to be upright - standing at the coffee table, standing on your lap, bouncing on your lap, or walking around the house holding our fingers. Well, last week I was in the office and I hear Bob call me from the living room "Umm, Heather - I think you need to get in here... and bring the camera". When I walked in the living room, this is what I found. She pulled herself up on her little walker and started taking steps by herself. Ok, so the steps were a little wobbly, but they were STEPS!

Figuring it out by herself...

And then the next night... getting a little more brave and holding on with one hand.

Here's Bridgette a couple weeks ago: watching Daddy put together her new toy, and of course Chester watching over the whole thing.

A Sunny Sunday at the Arboretum

The SUN came out this weekend, and after all the cold, gloomy weather we've had lately - we definitely took advantage of it! Sunday we got to go to brunch with Mimi and Poppa, then we headed over to the Arboretum for a little vitamin D on the face :) Oh yea, and Bridgette got to feel a LOT of new textures!

Someone was excited to be outside!

A Weekend in Fayetteville, AR - FINALLY!

As many of you know, we have been planning a trip to see my bff, Carolyn, for months now! The first trip was planned for Lily's 1st birthday, but then icy weather hit that week and we decided not to travel with Bridgette. So we planned another weekend in February - 12th to be exact - so we could celebrate Carolyn's birthday this time. And you know what happened? Dallas got 12" of SNOW! Are you kidding me!? So we went the following weekend... the weather was clear, no one was sick, and it finally worked! :) It was great to visit Carolyn, David, and Miss Lily! The girls had a good time hanging out and I had a great time catching up with my dear friend! Here are some highlights from the weekend.

SNOW DAY in Dallas!?!?

Yea, you read that right! We had a HUGE snow day up here in Dallas and it was awesome! With about a foot of snow on the ground, and my "big" kid (a.k.a. Bobby)... our front yard turned into a snowman gallery! HA! It started with "we need to make a snowman for Bridgette so we can get a picture"... and quickly turned into this:

Snowman #1

Bridgette's first snowman!

and one turned into 4...

even the baby swing got a snowman.

so much snow

A picture our neighbor Julie took, titled "The Aggie Snowman"

Just so you can see the size of these snowmen...

Bob pulled out a plastic sled from the attic and took Bridgette for a spin!

Look at all the snow in our backyard!

So pretty!

Happy Valentine's Day 2010!

Well, this holiday came and went... but not without some CUTE pictures! We had a little photo shoot to get the right picture for Bridgette's Valentine card, and there were just too many to pick from. Here's a sampling.
