Going to Vovo's!

This past weekend was our first roadtrip as a family, as we headed down to Houston to visit her Vovo and Vovo. Bridgette did pretty well for the 4 hour car ride, and we only had to stop once! 

We also got to have a play day with her prima (cousin) Ava. Funny thing was when one was sleeping the other was awake, and vice versa. By the end of the night they were both awake long enough for a little photo session. (I think this was more fun for Tia Sandra and I! haha) Here are some pics from the weekend. By the smile on Bridgette's face - I think she had a fun time! :)

Week 8 in Pictures

This was the first week we saw lots of smiles! What an amazing feeling it is to look at your child and get her to grin! She is growing so fast!! 

This week also marked the meeting of a great-grandparent. My "Papoo" is up visiting and was able to meet and hold Bridgette. I guess she can call him her "great grand-papoo"... ha! that's a mouthful! Enjoy the pics :)

There is just something about a sleeping baby that is absolutely ADORABLE!! We cannot stop taking pictures of our little girl when she sleeps! Whether she's sleeping on her tummy, cuddling with daddy, or making a sweet face... I can't stop looking at her! Here are a few of our favorites! 

Bridgette, meet Lily.

This past weekend my best friend Carolyn came into town with her hubby David and their cute little girl Lily. This was their first time to meet Bridgette... and since we are such good friends, we expect our girls to be friends too... Right!? Ha! Well, we'll see how that plays out over the next few years, but here is their first weekend together. We had a great time hanging out, but boy how things change! Carolyn and I are used to just waking up and grabbing coffee when we visit each other, but that didn't happen this time (although we attempted multiple times!) If one girl was sleeping, the other was eating... and once we got one ready to go, the other needed something else. It's amazing we actually made it out to lunch on Saturday! ha! Although a little more hectic than before we had children... it's a lot more fun!

Ok, so since Carolyn and I have a long history together... (we've known each other for almost 15 years now!?!) ... I decided to do a little before and after picture montage! Who would have thought that when we met back at Plano Senior High School that we would have our first babies so close together!?

Bridgette is 1 Month Old!

Can you believe it's already been a MONTH!?? We can't either. Bridgette had her 4 week check up this past Thursday, and she's looking good! She's finally up past her birth weight (YAY!) at a healthy 8.6lbs and measuring 21.5 inches long. It's amazing how fast they grow! She's already getting out of her newborn onesies and just about out of her newborn diapers! 

The 4 week mark has also brought out what we call "Little Miss Fussy Pants". As new parents, we are learning what makes her "fussy" and what seems to calm her down. So far we have found that she loves bath time, going for walks in the stroller, and walking around outside in the backyard.
