SNOW DAY in Dallas!?!?

Yea, you read that right! We had a HUGE snow day up here in Dallas and it was awesome! With about a foot of snow on the ground, and my "big" kid (a.k.a. Bobby)... our front yard turned into a snowman gallery! HA! It started with "we need to make a snowman for Bridgette so we can get a picture"... and quickly turned into this:

Snowman #1

Bridgette's first snowman!

and one turned into 4...

even the baby swing got a snowman.

so much snow

A picture our neighbor Julie took, titled "The Aggie Snowman"

Just so you can see the size of these snowmen...

Bob pulled out a plastic sled from the attic and took Bridgette for a spin!

Look at all the snow in our backyard!

So pretty!

Happy Valentine's Day 2010!

Well, this holiday came and went... but not without some CUTE pictures! We had a little photo shoot to get the right picture for Bridgette's Valentine card, and there were just too many to pick from. Here's a sampling.

Just call me Martha!

Martha Stewart that is! For Christmas, I received 2 new items to add to my kitchen. First was a zoo animal pancake griddle pan. Bridgette is not quite ready for the pancakes, but we had to test out the pan anyways...you know, for good measure! This is the part of being a "mom" that I'm going to love! I can't wait for Bridgette to have animal pancakes for the first time. But first... we need to get through stage 1 foods. Which brings me to the second item I received: the Babycook Babyfood Maker, which steams and purees fresh vegetables all in one! Last weekend was my first attempt at homemade baby food, and I think it turned out well! Sweet potatoes were first on the menu, and they were delicious! (See the step by step process below.)

Monkeys, Lions, and Giraffes, oh my!

The sweet potato and the tools...

Step 1: Chop up the potato

Step 2: Steam & Puree

Step 3: Pour into freezable containers

Step 4: EAT!
(believe it or not... she liked this much better than applesauce! ha!)

Where there's a tree, there's a way...

Bridgette got a swing for Christmas, but it's been too cold to put it up...until last weekend! Last Friday was {beautiful} outside, so Bob ran up to Lowe's for some heavy-duty chain. We picked the tree out front that would work the best (thanks to our neighbor Greta) and got to work. Bridgette LOVES the swing! Once spring comes, you will most likely find us outside on a daily basis! Check out the grin on that cute little face! :)

Ready, Set, GO!

Wheeeeeeeee!

Look how high I am Mom!!

NO.SLEEP.TILL....

{{BROOKLYN!}}
I guess Tia Christina knew who she was talking about when she got Bridgette this onesie. Our little girl does not nap! Maybe we need to make a trip to New York to see if that would help?? hmmmm....

Bridgette gets Baptized!

A couple weekends ago marked a very special one for our little girl! Bridgette was baptized on Sunday, January 3rd at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She wore a beautiful gown that has been in Bob's family for almost 100 years! Bob's grandfather, Vovo, wore it when he was baptized (94 years ago) and Bridgette is the 25th to wear it. She was surrounded by family, friends, and neighbors {that filled up 3 pews!} to witness the event. A big thank you to everyone who came! We are so blessed with a beautiful, healthy girl! And even more thankful for the support network we have surrounding Bridgette! It really does take a village. :)

Bob, Bridgette, and I with Father Robert, Tia Marthi {Madrinha}, and Uncle Jared {Godfather}

Look at our sweet angel in the gorgeous gown!

Uncle Jared sneaking a peek at Bridgette...

The parents, godparents, and grandparents all together!

And then the {village}! What a great lookin' group!

Bridgette had a busy morning! She's totally zonked out on her Vovo.
