Thanksgiving Craft Time!

Today we went down to Amy & Audrey's house for a little Thanksgiving craft time! With the holiday right around the corner, we decided to make the girls handprints into turkeys and they turned out SO cute!! Here are some pictures of the process...I think Amy and I had more fun than the girls!

The sleeves are rolled up and we're ready to get started.

Miss Amy gave the girls Thanksgiving books to "read" while we set up.

Bridgette was fine until her hand went into the paint...

Audrey wasn't so sure of this paint either...

Auds got into it once Amy started cleaning her hands off - ha!

... and the finished product. YAY!

Exersaucer and other Fun Stuff

Bridgette is now 18 weeks and growing daily! She is loving her exersaucer, is constantly moving her legs and squirming, and puts everything she can grab into her mouth! She also just recently found her voice, and has been "talking" non-stop! It's adorable!! We will try to post video(s) soon. But until then... here are some more pictures! :)
Look at me... I love my new exersaucer!
{and mommy and daddy get all the songs stuck in their heads...it's funny}

Dad, this is a car... not a slide, but whatever... WEEEE!

Mom, don't you have enough pictures already?

This is my child: photo was taken at 2pm...she had not napped for me all day
so I put her in her swing to see if she'd take a little snooze...nope - she was just laughing away!

Holding onto her microphone, and resting her chin on the chair to stop and watch tv!

Aww... the girls :)

Happy Halloween 2009

Like everything else, Halloween was a little different this year. It was so much fun getting dressed up as a family now! On Saturday our good friends, Amy and James, hosted an early happy hour for everyone on the street. This was mainly to get pictures of the 4 babies in their costumes before they went to bed - ha! Once we got all the pictures out of the way, we just parked it out in their front driveway (with the rest of the block...yes, our street is awesome!) and passed out candy. Here's a few pictures from the night:

Bob the giant Chicken/Rooster, Heather the Chef, and Bridgette the ladybug fairy

Check out the fluffiness of that tutu! And the height of my hat!
(Bob made the toque for me out of butcher paper and it turned out great!)

Ballerina Audrey greeted us at the door.

Bridgette passed out on the walk down to the party.
{they are just 4 houses down the street - ha!}

Adrienne's {prize} lamb.

The 4 babies of the night.

Mimi and Bridgette

Count Dracula (James) swinging Audrey.

Our neighbor Greta {Poison Ivy} and myself.

Farmer Joey and Foghorn Leghorn

Bob had a costume change halfway through the night...
Meet "Shyrone"

Only 12 days apart huh? I guess black really is slimming! haha :)
(Adrienne told me to write that!)

Bridgette is 4 Months!

Today was Bridgette's 4 month check up, and the doc said she's healthy, "thriving and interactive"! She's measuring now at 13.10lbs (50%), 23 3/4 inches in length (35%), and 16 inches for her head (40%). I just can't believe she's 4 months already!? Where does the time go? Here's a picture of her enjoying a starbucks* while we were in the waiting room - ha!

* disclaimer: Bridgette did not really consume coffee, nor was there any hot beverage in there that would have harmed her in any way

Pumpkin Patch!

We decided to take advantage of family being in town last weekend {and the beautiful weather} and headed to the Arboretum for a little photo shoot! Sandra and I had been planning different outfits for the girls to wear, and I think they looked adorable! They each had one matching outfit and then one other outfit change. Yes, you could say that Sandra and I are definitely enjoying being mother's and playing dress up with our daughters! Check out a few of the beautiful pictures we got! (I say a few because Bob and I close to 600 photos from that morning!) ENJOY! :)

The Bloem Annual BBQ

It's been a while, and it's time to catch up! Two weekends ago we held our Annual {Hotter than Hell} BBQ, except instead of August - we pushed it back to October, and instead of it being on the hottest day of the year (as it has been in the past) - it was perfect weather! I think we may have started a new tradition... hosting the BBQ in the fall! The party was a success, and we had more little ones running around than any years prior! Oh how things change. Funny thing... they were all GIRLS! Here's a look at the younger crowd:

Miss Bridgette with "Aunt" Catt...

Bridgette's cousin Ava with Tia Marthi...

Baby Caroline sporting her t.u. cheerleading outfit with her Momma
(yes, we actually let them in the house with that on!) ...

Audrey (a.k.a. "Auds") with Chris...it's ok Chris, she doesn't bite :)

Gabi telling Amy and I all about her Halloween costume...

and Annika trying to convince her Mom that she is old enough for a beer, HA!

The {proud} grandparents with their babies.

Bridgette is 3 Months Old!

My how time flies! Last week Bridgette turned 3 months old (and if you are counting weeks, that is 13 weeks). We stayed busy with our first 2 play dates, a doctor's appointment, lunch with Poppa, and picking up new jobs from the printer! {Bridgette is going to be my little design helper... I have her in training - ha!} One of our play dates was through a new group we joined called LHAECPTA {Lake Highlands Area Early Childhood PTA} where Bridgette and I will be able to meet other moms and kids in the neighborhood. The other play date we had was with a fellow aggie friend of mine that I ran into a month ago. She and a few other new moms started their own little group that meets once a month for lunch. It was great to talk to other moms that have kids close in age with Bridgette, and that are also staying at home and/or working part time like me. :) Here are some pics from the week.

All dressed and ready to play!

Went to Poppa's office to have lunch....

...and I think he found a new engineering intern!
Yay Bridgette... learn how to use that circle template! Next week I'll teach you how to hold the T-square!

Another day, another cute outfit...and of course a nap!

Tummy time a la birthday suit.
